SUMMARY

As mention above, this is the third task that we have completed. And based on the table above, there are 3 main job titles that are being advertised which are IT Analyst, Web Programmer and IT System Engineer.

As we can see in the table, the highest advertised job is Web Programmer with 5 advertisments in between 9 till 11 December 2010. The job require the employer to designs, programs, implements, documents and maintains computerized business systems for the use over the Internet or Intranet. Those who apply should also can develops both internal and external website and web-based applications. Other than that, they should also can generate, maintains and archives web site content.

The most important thing for this job the applicant must proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, MySQL and Ajax programming. Besides, applicant should have knowledge of Flash ActionScript, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and in CMS (Joomla and Joomla extension programming) with experience in deployment of website based on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).

The next highest advertised job is IT analyst. For 9 to 11 December there’s only 2 job offered in jobstreet. The job description is to conduct system/ business process requirement Study/ research. The work include planning, implementing, testing and troubleshoot new software/ application solutions. The requirement for becoming IT analyst is Degree or Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology with experience in enterprise system study, Integration feasibility and impact analysis, design, planning, UAT, training, implementation and support of business application / enterprise RDBMS is essential. And the most important thing the applicant must be experiencing in Web development services or enterprise application design and development using Java, Macromedia Dreamweaver/ Flash/ Director, SQL/ Oracle Server & Linux operating environment. Proficient in SQL, Oracle 10g, Oracle P/L, Oracle Forms/Reports/Query, TOAD, Crystal Reporting, VB, Microsoft .NET, VBScript, ASP, PHP, HTML and XML is additional for applicant.

The third highest or the lowest job advertised is IT system engineer. The job description is to perform standby to resolving of application complex problems. Applicant should also must be skilled in C++, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and AspenTech Infoplus.21.They also need to be ready with knowledge of object oriented programming and knowledge of relational databases and ability to identify problems and potential improvements is additional.

CONCLUSION

As for the conclusion,we can see that there is no doubt that the job prospect in this field is very high and demanding.Above table is a little proof for the statement mentioned as the as many jobs available in this field almost everyday.Yet,the employer have their own technical requirements in each jobs offered which may be the same or vary depending the employers.

One of it is that the employer are seeking for peoples with good skills and experience.This can be a good news for those who are working already and wanted to have new environment and challenge in the workings.But then,the fresh grad would most likely faced a little problem as their working experience would be very less or even none at all.But this is not a big deal if the fresh grad has high skills in the requirements that the employers are looking for.Example of the requirements that most employers are looking for is such as web development and programming,operating systems, and database.

So,it can be said that a person with high web development and programming skills,understands multiple operating systems concepts and has the capability of managing it and also database knowledge would be more preferred to be employed for the time being as that’s the most wanted skills that employers are looking.
